The Golf Federation of India was conceived, conceptualized, and envisioned by Mr. Aryavir. He always wanted to be a professional golfer but due to some spinal fractures there was no hope around him and he gradually lost interest in becoming a golfer because his crucial time was wasted.

An athlete and sportsman who had a bright and promising future but due to such an injury, he could see that his favorite golf clubs would possibly be snatched away from his hands by the cruel hands of fate itself.

It was at this time - at the lowest ebb of his fortunes - that Aryavir looked around and started to observe how the gentleman's game and one of the finest sports had been neglected or branded as a “Rich man’s sport” and was being given step-motherly treatment for most sportsmen who wished to play the sport well.

Aryavir made a firm resolve here in and resolved that not only would he recover fully from the debilitating injury and would once again be able to play golf for himself, but would create a structure for the hopes of millions in the country. It was at this time that he conceptualized and decided to form the Golf Federation of India and thus was born the Gold Federation of India with the vision and mission of enhancing as well as promoting the game of Golf in the country. The idea was to form a bridge between the various golfing bodies and clubs within the country to help them promote the game better for youngsters and those genuinely interested in the game of Golf.

As would be seen by experience and hindsight, almost every sport gains popularity and comes within the reach of the masses only when people begin to understand the basic nuances and technicalities of the game itself. As in the case of cricket, football, and any other spectator sport, it is only when the game became within the reach of the common people that people started to understand the game, started playing it and the game itself became popular. Along with the popularity of the Game, a whole ecosystem begins to develop around the game, which in turn develops, generates, and creates jobs, future career prospects, and health and fitness goals associated with the game itself.

Golf as a game may not be very popular in India right now but the game as a whole presents a promising prospect not only in terms of Commerce, networking, and industry but also in terms of health, fitness as well as career prospects.

The aim and objective behind the golf federation are to promote and develop ecosystems surrounding the game so that the game becomes more popular within the country and generates jobs associated with the game. The idea is to also make the reach of the game widespread amongst the emerging generation. Win the game as an elitist sport and start developing an interest in the finer and more technical nuances of the game and represent the game and the country at a completely new level altogether.

The game of golf is a unique game that can be played right from 10-year-olds to 90-year-olds irrespective of age, gender, or social background. Aryavir wants to promote the sport through regular tournaments, and would encourage regional talent, he wants to put India on the world golfing map through the Golf Federation of India.
